Activists Send Senate Majority Leader Frist Flowers

(September 5, 2003) --, Senator Frist DC office received a bouquet of funeral flowers today. The wreath was chosen because it reminded activists of a red ribbon.

The following card was attached:

Dear Senator Frist,
Our condolences to the families of 6 million people who will die of AIDS this year and next because you put political ambition above saving their lives. You have lied about the desperate need this year for $3 billion for AIDS and $1 billion for the Global Fund, and you have betrayed all the people with AIDS you say you care about.
